Intermediate Drawing
Grades 4-7
Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00pm | September 15 - November 17 (no classes held when school is out)
3 payments of $25. All materials included.
Take your young artist’s skills to the next level! In Intermediate Drawing: Principles of Art, students will discover the building blocks that artists use to create powerful and engaging artwork. Through fun, hands-on projects, students will explore the seven Principles of Art—balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, and unity—while strengthening their drawing techniques and creative thinking skills.
As children enter their preteen years, creative activities become increasingly important for building confidence, self-expression, and problem-solving abilities. Art provides a positive outlet for imagination while teaching patience, focus, observation, and perseverance. Students will learn how to make artistic choices that communicate ideas and emotions, helping them develop both technical skills and creative independence.
Whether your child already loves to draw or is ready to expand their artistic abilities, this class will inspire them to think like an artist, experiment with new ideas, and create artwork that is both meaningful and uniquely their own. Join us as we explore the principles that turn simple drawings into works of art! ✏️🎨✨
